Minnie Mouse!

So when I went to get Isabelle dressed this morning she had a very specific idea for what she wanted on. She went to her closet, pointed and said Mickey! She was quite insistent, so on went her Minnie dress. Then she started looking around her room, saying Mickey and pointing to her head. So on went the Minnie ears. I guess she is in a Mickey and Minnie Mouse mood this morning, huh? Such a funny girl!

Today was Caleb's last tee-ball game. We will miss it a lot, although I think it'll be a tie between Caleb and Belle as to who will miss it the most. It has definitely made the first part of our summer a lot more fun. Tonight we played a shortened game (only 30 minutes instead of a full hour) and went to a pizza party afterwards at Graziano's. The kids had a great time, and they loved their pizza. So did Jared and I, it was good pizza! Caleb had a good time with his friends, and was shocked when the coach pulled out the trophies. He could not believe he was getting a real trophy. It was pretty cute. Belle was a little upset that she didn't get anything, so Caleb was a good sport and let her wear his medal home. He wasn't letting go of that trophy for anything!

Me watching the game.

Caleb at bat. Go Caleb!!!

Yay! He hit the ball!

Run Caleb!!

Lounging and eating her grapes.

At Graziano's. Quite an adventure when you have 7 4-year-olds, plus their families!

Eating pizza

Belle wanted the trophies and was not happy I was keeping her from getting them.

Caleb getting his certificate and trophy, he already has his medal on.

Shaking his coach's hand

So proud! And yet, so tired!! He went straight to bed that night.

OC Fair!

We had an awesome weekend! On Saturday morning Jared and I were able to go through the temple with my brother as he went through for the very first time. It was wonderful to be in there with my family and have most of us together. Afterwards Jared and I picked the kids up from their grandparents house and headed off to the OC Fair. The kids had a blast. Belle loved looking at the different animals. and almost got her dress eaten by a goat at one point! Caleb liked whichever animal was currently making the most noise, whether it was the goats or the cows, he loved hearing the moo's and baaa's. We did the pony rides and Belle loved it. It was her first time so we weren't sure what she would think of it, but she had a blast. The kids did a couple rides, poor Caleb got his head banged a couple times on the big slide, but all in all I think he liked it. We got the kids a huge corndog to split for dinner, the thing was enormous! It was easily 15 inched long! They each got to pick out one blow up toy to get as a souvenir (my favorite cause they are soooo cheap!) and two days later Belle still is playing with her horse. It was a great night for all!

Caleb riding his horse.

Belle on hers. It was her first time!

Caleb and Belle petting a goat. I had to move Belle back because the goat started to try and eat her dress!

Belle and I getting ready to ride their version of Dumbo. She really wanted to ride this, but once it started, she grabbed my leg and buried her head and wouldn't look up. It was really cute.

I'm laughing at Caleb. He loved this ride and kept putting his arms up.

Going fishing! They each one a stuffed turtle.

Belle with her horse. She kept trying to ride it. It was pretty cute.

People laughed at her and pointed the whole way out. She would not let us help her carry it. It was so cute! Caleb got an airplane, but we didn't get any pictures of it, sorry Caleb!

Memories...

I copied this from a friend and thought it looked like fun! Thanks Eva!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I thought I would post some pictures of our family's favorite place to go. Come Monday night, ask Caleb what he wants to do for family night and he invariably gives you one of two answers, swimming in the pool or go to the "fishie" store. For those unfamiliar with "Caleb-speak" this means the Bass Pro Shop. So last Monday Jared asked the question, and Caleb requested, big surprise, the fishie store. These are some pictures from our most recent trip. Belle fell in love with the hat, and wore it through most of our walk through the store. Her favorite thing is to look at the boats, so to satisfy both kids, we hang out in some of the boats, then we go look at the fish in the aquarium they have. The kids love to go here, and if anyone is ever on the area, I say go! It is a fun store, for kids of all ages, including the adults. We love it and it makes for a great, free, family night in air-conditioning!

Viva Las Vegas!

We had a lot of fun this last week! We went to Las Vegas to see Jared's brother Spencer get married on Thursday, and turned it into a fun three day family vacation. Poor Caleb decided to come into our room at 3am on Thursday morning to tell me he threw up in his bed! We cleaned it up, only to have him throw up again 30 minutes later! Again, we (meaning just me) cleaned it up and went back to bed. About 15 minutes after this, I hear Caleb race to the bathroom, and throw up again, but at least I didn't have to clean his bed up again that time! My poor boy! What a way to start vacation! We got on the road at 6:15 am, and by the time we stopped in Baker at 8:15, Caleb was back to his usual self. The giant thermometer read 101 degrees which made us glad we had decided to drive out early. We stopped at the State Line Outlets for lunch, and then headed into Vegas. Spencer and Skylar got married at the Little White Chapel and after we all went to In N Out for dinner. It was a blast. Tourists kept wanting their picture taken with then in their nice wedding clothes. The kids had a great time and love their new Aunt Sky. The next day Jared and I took the kids to the strip in the morning and explored some of the different hotels. Caleb and Belle both loved the gondolas in the Venetian. After lunch we went back to the hotel to swim away the afternoon, and that night we took Jared's little brother Chandler and Kayla (a family friend) out on the strip while grandma and grandpa babysat. It was a lot of fun to see Kayla's reaction to everything, as she had never been to Vegas before! The next day we took the kids to the M & M factory and the Excalibur hotel before setting off for home. It was a blast! We had an awesome weekend, and are so glad we were able to go! A big thanks to Jared's Grandma and Grandpa, who were able to get us all rooms at their timeshare! We loved hanging out with all the family, and the kids came home exhausted, but super happy.

RC Quakes!

Last night was resident appreciation night in our community so we were given free tickets to a Rancho Cucamonga Quakes game. The Quakes are the Angels Farm team, and the games are always a fun family treat. This one was even better because everyone around us was people we knew from our apartment community! It was best for Jared and I because everything was free! Whats better than a free family night? The kids loved eating their hot dogs, chips, and soda. Isabelle entertained some of our neighbors by eating her hot dog first, then going back later and eating her bun. We also had a raffle during the game and we won a Chili's gift card. We love our community! Coming from a small privately owned apartment building, to a 230 + unit complex owned by a large corporation, we love the benefits! The kids had a blast, and we left at the top of the 8th inning, when Belle started to fall asleep in my lap. It was a fun family night for all!
